Demonstration of mucosal bridging in Crohn's colitis

Mucosal bridges, strands of normal appearing mucosa traversing the bowel lumen from one wall to an adjacent wall, can occur in inflammatory bowel disease, usually ulcerative colitis. We report the first radiographically documented case, confirmed by colonoscopy, of multiple mucosal bridges and filiform polyps in a patient with Crohn's colitis.
