Abstract:
Thirty physically abused children between five and 12 years old were compared to a matched group of 30 nonabused children on psychological tests measuring self-concept, aggression, socialization with peers, establishment of trust, and separation from the mother. Differences between groups were found in each of the areas of emotional development studied.
