The radiologist's role in obstetric ultrasound

Real-time scanners have facilitated rapid examination of the entire fetus. With modern linear-array real-time equipment, fetal anatomical details can be quickly identified. Radiologists are encouraged to become directly involved in the study rather than accepting "spot views" of the fetal head.
