[Decrease in the preventive effect of immunoglobulin against hepatitis A upon repeated administration]
The prophylactic efficacy of 0.1 ml, 0.75 ml, and 1.5 ml 10% commercial immunoglobulin used in the preepidemic period was studied. The indices of morbidity among unvaccinees in the previous year were found to be significantly lower than in the control group whereas no such difference was observed in the group of children immunized in the previous year with 1.0 ml immunoglobulin. The incidence among the subjects repeatedly vaccinated with 0.75 ml and 1.5 ml was significantly higher than among previously nonimmunized children.
