[Experience with epidemiologic studies of schizophrenia in children]

An overall non-selective epidemiological study of schizophrenia was conducted among 15 000 of urban and rural child population in several districts. Data on the prevalence of schizophrenia, depending upon the age and sex of examined children in urban and rural population were obtained. Predominant forms of schizophrenia development in children, the age of the disease onset were demonstrated.
