Abstract:
In an attempt to minimize underdevelopment of the maxilla due to surgery, palatoplasty without elevation of the mucoperiosteal flap on the cleft side was devised and successfully performed on 13 patients with complete unilateral cleft and on 5 with cleft of the soft palate.
