Radionuclide imaging in pyogenic vertebral osteomyelitis

    Summary

    Pyogenic vertebral osteomyelitis can be diagnosed using radioisotope imaging. Phosphate bone and Gallium-67 scans effectively identify this infection, even with normal white blood cell counts.
