[Pharmacological characteristics of the tranquilizing action of hydiphen]
Abstract:
Hydiphen--hydrazide of diphenylphosphinylacetic acid--is a new Soviet tranquilizer having an original spectrum of psychotropic activity. It depresses an aroused emotional state of fear-anxiety, decreases the state of conflict in group interaction. It produces neither myorelaxation nor increase in positive emotions. The drug is not toxic. It possesses the central N-cholinolytic, antiadrenergic and antiserotonin effects.
