    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the impact of a conditioned stimulus on stuttering frequency.

    • To determine if a visual stimulus could act as a discriminative stimulus for stuttering reduction.

    Main Methods:

    • Ten subjects participated in the study.
    • Galvanic skin response (GSR) and stuttering frequency were recorded across baseline, treatment, and extinction phases.
    • A face slide was used as a continuous conditioned stimulus, with contingent laughter presented during one treatment session.
