[Prevention of retinal detachment in massive endovitreous hamorrhage. 2a]
Abstract:
We have made a prophylaxis of retinal detachment resulting from massive endovitreous hemorrhage by performing a pars plana vitrectomy in rabbit eyeballs, in which we had previously injected autologous blood. Because of the opacity of the means the echografic examination has shown us the moment of intervening. The detachment of retina has taken place in the 46,15% of case, wherease in some of our previous experiences it has happened in the 91,3% without the prophylactic intervention and in the 64,28% after application of encirclement.
