[Quantitative structural studies on the testes]
Abstract:
Structural elements of testis are relatively homogenously distributed, though there are marked individual differences. No greater variations in the mean values of the tubular diameters in different sectional planes were found. It was studied, how the mean values are changed by growing number of dates, e.g. for the nuclear volumes of the Leydig cells and the tubular diameters. Testing the antigonadotropic activity of steroids both these structural parameters follow the changes in the organ weights, partially with reduced sensitivity. From quantitative data of testis structure conclusions can be drawn for biological processes.
