Natural history of Buerger's disease
Abstract:
102 patients with clinically established diagnosis of Buerger's disease were treated and operated upon by the authors, in 45% of cases histology was obtained proving the clinical diagnosis. Buerger's disease is a rare pathology in Poland, it has been recognised in 3.3% of patients presenting with peripheral arterial pathologies. 46% of patients were followed up for 2-10 years. Clinical, radiological and histological documents demonstrating the gradual evolution of the disease have been presented.
