[Congenital cysts of the liver (author's transl)]

After reviewing the literature, case reports of 15 patients with congenital cysts of the liver are given. Surgery was done in these cases because of cholangitis, jaundice, suspected tumor. Cysts were removed totally, anastomized, punctured or supplied with a window, or lobectomy of the liver was done depending upon localisation, size, number and contents of the cysts.
