    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the predictive validity of the Imipramine Response Scale - Male (IRS-M) for imipramine hydrochloride treatment response.
    • To assess if IRS-M scores could differentiate between responders and non-responders in a clinical sample.

    Main Methods:

    • 18 hospitalized male patients with depression were enrolled.
    • Patients received imipramine hydrochloride treatment for 28 days.
    • Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and Imipramine Response Scale - Male (IRS-M) were administered.
