Abstract:

The authors describe a technique of external saphenectomy characterized by: 1) the position of the patient, in dorsal decubitus, so that an internal saphenectomy may be carried out at the same operation; 2) local anaesthesia; 3) postero-lateral approach to the arch of the external saphenous.
