[Postoperative complications following the Gross-procedure for hypospadias (author's transl)]

One of the major aims of hypospadias correction to the urethral meatus should be at the tip of the glans. This can be achieved with the two-stage procedure described by Gross. However even this procedure has a high fistula-rate. A modification is therefore suggested originally described by Mathieus which we now utilise during the second-stage procedure. This modification appears to reduce the fistula rate.
