[Acute pericarditis treatment during maintenance hemodialysis (author's transl)]

Among 121 patients in maintenance hemodialysis in the years 1968-1976, 31 cases of acute pericarditis (26%), that is one case/14 patient-year, were observed. A wide range of clinical picture was observed: from the milder cases to the dramatic clinical presentation of cardiac tamponade. Diagnostic and therapeutic problems are reviewed.
