Acoustical inverse problem for the cochlea

In this article, we will show how the stiffness K(x) of the basilar membrane may be estimated from a measurement of the impulse response at the stapes (i.e., from a measurement of the pressure developed just inside the stapes in response to an impulse of stapes velocity).
