Abstract:
It is reported on a one-year experience with the subclavian catheter as approach to vessels for the chronic haemodialytic treatment. During this period 201 chronic dialysis were performed via this way of approach and thus in 17 cases the lacking conventional connection with the vessels was temporarily substituted. Taking into consideration the necessary precautionary measures the subclavian catheter proved as an excellent possibility for the connection of the patient with the extracorporal haemodialytic circulation up to the creation of a permanent connection with the vessels. The advantages of this method are discussed. Practical references for the differentiated application of connections with vessels and dialytic techniques up to the creation of a definitive possibility of the connection for the chronic haemodialysis are given.
