Abstract:
The anatomic and embryologic elements forming th crista supraventricularis are reviewed, mainly those absent or dissociated in congenital heart diseases with alterations in the outflow tracts. In order to avoid confusion in the outflow tracts. In order to avoid confusion in the nomenclature of these malformations, we discuss the inconvenience of using indiscriminately the term crista supraventricularis to name the different bands present in the infundibular tracts, recommending instead the use of the alternatives proposed by Anderson.
