Abstract:
An unique press fit/tap-in, anti-rotational cylinder implant is described. It has an apical core and side vents which encourage bone growth, and its tapered fins provide a self-tapping mechanism, thus creating a firm anti-rotational mechanical anchorage from the moment of its insertion. Preliminary clinical trials have proved to be very successful, especially in poor bone density areas.
