Cell lines exhibit varied responses to radiation, with helium ions reducing some differences but nitrogen ions causing further sensitization and unexpected resistance in certain cell types. Predicting radiation response based on photon sensitivity is not feasible.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the clonogenic survival of seven cell lines after irradiation with photons, helium ions, and nitrogen ions.
