Rectal adenocarcinoma with germ cell elements treated with chemotherapy

This report details a rare rectal adenocarcinoma with germ cell components, specifically endodermal sinus tumor and choriocarcinoma. Elevated tumor markers, alpha-fetoprotein and human chorionic gonadotropin, were confirmed in the neoplastic tissue.
