Summary

Pediatric B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) cells frequently express CD34. The CD34+ CD38- or CD34+ HLA-DR- phenotypes are more effective for distinguishing these leukemic cells from normal hematopoietic stem cells than CD34+ Thy-1low.
