Use of nitragin in the USSR

Abstract:
In this paper we present the results of an analysis of data on the effectiveness of nitragin for the principal leguminous crops in the various soil and climatic zones of the country during the period 1971--1975. It was shown that in the majority of the experiments (75%) nitragin not only increases the yield of leguminous crops but also leads to an elevated protein content in these. Data on the application of nitragin in the USSR and in other countries are given.
