Abstract:
Most of the technical problem encountered during aortic root replacement may be avoided by the use of fine mattress sutures, gelatin resorcinal formaldehyde (GRF) glue and pre-clotted or bovine collagen grafts in patients whose platelet function is preserved by the intra-operative administration of aprotinin.
