Summary

Peritonsillar infiltration with tenoxicam did not significantly reduce postoperative pain after tonsillectomy. Pain scores and morphine use were similar between the tenoxicam group and the placebo group.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the efficacy of peritonsillar infiltration with tenoxicam 5 mg compared to placebo in managing postoperative pain following tonsillectomy.
