[Role of a mediator in the prevention of malpractice suits]

The authors suggest to inaugurate a new prevention proceeding suitable for the quick ending of the more and more often conducted litigated issues between patients and physicians (health care providers), by framing the mediator system. They outline the organisation, authority, and the personal conditions of being appointed to mediator. They emphasize the difference between the board of arbitration and the mediator system.
