Summary

Topical beta-blocker eye drops may cause lichen planus, a skin condition. Discontinuing the medication resolved symptoms in two glaucoma patients, suggesting a link.

Observation:

  • Skin biopsies revealed a lichenoid drug reaction in both cases.

Findings:

  • Symptoms resolved completely after discontinuing topical beta-blocker therapy.
