Abstract:
Mononuclear leucocyte infiltration of the glomerulus in glomerulonephritis, like that in the skin wound, represents a protective adaptive reaction for the reparation of the damaged structures. However, in non-inflammatory nephropathy mononuclear infiltration is not pronounced and the reparation is brought about by other mechanisms. In both cases the cell reaction primarily directed to the reestablishment of the damaged structures, may result in the development of glomerulosclerosis.
