The creative use of social work technicians

As resources shrink and case loads increase, it is imperative that social workers look at creative staffing. This article reviews the tasks that can be accomplished by non-master's degree social workers and reiterates the role master's-level social workers play on the renal team. Together, the social work technician and the MSW can address the myriad of issues that arise in a dialysis unit and provide improved concrete and psychotherapeutic services.
