Abstract:
The therapeutic function of visual ideas and imaginations is focussed. Reminiscences, dreams and fantasies are not only understood as indications of an underlying truth, which is to be explored. They have an own truth content, which is esthetic. Their creation in the psychotherapeutic encounter unfolds curative affects, beyond analytic exploration of psychodynamic reasons.
