Summary

Rotator cuff tears significantly alter shoulder anatomy, increasing functional tendon length and decreasing muscle fiber length. These morphological changes in the supraspinatus, infraspinatus, and subscapularis muscles indicate physiological abnormality, potentially improved by surgical repair.
