A visit to the office of Dr. Saul Asken

This is the third in a series of office visitations to observe the practices of well-known dermatologic surgeons. The author performs these techniques himself and has written this article through the eyes of an experienced surgeon observing the work of a well-known colleague. Although my technique and philosophy differ somewhat from what is described herein, I have objectively described the surgical preferences of my host surgeon. Other dermatologic surgeons will recognize that there are alternate methods for performing these procedures. Hopefully the experiences reported here will add to the knowledge of all those who perform these surgeries.
