Summary

Immunoglobulin A (IgA) rheumatoid factor (RF) subclasses, particularly IgA2 RF, show diagnostic potential for rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Measuring these IgA RF subclasses may offer clinical utility in diagnosing RA.

Background:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by joint inflammation.
  • Rheumatoid factor (RF) is an autoantibody often detected in RA patients, but its diagnostic specificity can be limited.
