Summary

Interferon gamma (IFN-gamma) signaling requires both IFN-gamma receptor 1 (IFN-gamma R1) and IFN-gamma R2. The intracellular domain of IFN-gamma R2 is essential for IFN-gamma-induced signal transduction and receptor component activation.

    • IFN-gamma R2 plays a critical role in recruiting and activating downstream signaling kinases like Jak2.
