Summary

A large, thin-walled cyst with an air-fluid level was found in a 36-year-old man's left lower lung lobe. Surgical removal confirmed the lesion as an intrapulmonary bronchogenic cyst.

Implications:

  • This case highlights the importance of considering bronchogenic cysts in the differential diagnosis of lung lesions presenting with hemoptysis.
  • Surgical intervention is curative for symptomatic intrapulmonary bronchogenic cysts.
