Summary

The initial T-cell response to inhaled allergens involves interleukin-4 (IL-4) secreting CD4+ cells, followed by interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) from CD8+ T-cells that regulate the immune response. Allergen-specific TcR1 (gamma/delta) T-cells were identified as potent regulators.
