Summary

Plasma endothelin levels did not differ at rest between patients with primary Raynaud's phenomenon and controls. A cold challenge caused a more pronounced decrease in endothelin in Raynaud's patients, suggesting an alternative vasoconstrictor initiates vasospasm.
