Background:

Observation:

  • A case of pseudosarcomatous bladder tumor in a 9-year-old child is presented.
  • The tumor involved the vesical wall and perivesical fat, extending towards iliac vessels.
  • Microscopic examination revealed spindle cell proliferation in a myxoid stroma with a prominent vascular network, lacking cytologic atypia or increased mitosis.

Findings:

  • Immunohistochemistry confirmed myofibroblast features in the proliferant cells.
  • Literature review of 40 cases of inflammatory pseudosarcoma was conducted.
  • Clinical characteristics, morphological findings, treatment, and postoperative evolution were evaluated.
