[Peroperative prophylaxis with peroral Tarivid (Hoechst) in laparoscopic cholecystectomy]

The author gives an account on the healing of surgical wounds in a group of 111 patients operated on account of cholelithiasis. The patients were given ofloxacin by the oral route during the peroperative stage as ultra-short antimicrobial prophylaxis. The possibility to administer the drug by the oral route in the peroperative period is a new finding.
