Summary

Hepatobiliary dysfunction is common in ulcerative colitis (UC) patients, with nearly 30% experiencing liver biochemistry abnormalities. Normal liver tests do not rule out histological changes, and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) affects 2% of UC patients.
