Alberta college developing audit system to monitor physician skills

Within 10 years the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta hopes to have an audit program in place to monitor the clinical skills of all physicians. The decision to develop an audit program resulted from a college-sponsored survey which indicated that many Albertans were surprised and concerned to learn that physician audits did not already exist.
