Summary

Elevated interleukin-2 (IL-2) levels in human follicular fluid are linked to ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) development in women undergoing in-vitro fertilization (IVF). This finding suggests IL-2 may play a role in OHSS pathogenesis.

Background:

  • Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is a significant complication of assisted reproductive technologies.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the association between follicular fluid interleukin-2 (IL-2) concentrations and the development of OHSS.
  • To explore potential biomarkers for predicting OHSS risk in patients undergoing in-vitro fertilization (IVF).
