Abstract:
As the rapidly evolving trend to encourage seniors to express advance health care directives struggles to elaborate a science of the ethical premises, so physicians will be required to master the art of guiding patients to making autonomous decisions. This article focuses on the latter aspect of counseling the elderly, by providing practical tips based on the author's experience.
