[The incidence of tuberculosis in Romania in the first 3 trimesters of 1994]

Using information from the TB notification forms completed during the first 9 months of the 1994 year and demographic data (the number of inhabitants by sex and age groups in various districts at 1 July 1994), epidemiometric indicators like TB incidence by disease localization, sex and bacteriologic confirmation for whole country and each of its 41 districts have been calculated. The absolute fingers and the rates are presented in a series of 11 successive tables. These data, revealing the magnitude of "TB problem" in Romania, are presented with the aim to support planning and optimization of TB control activities at the central and intermediate levels.
