Purpose of the Study:

To develop and evaluate an angioscopic technique for visualizing the aorta's endoluminal surface.
To assess the utility of angioscopy in guiding vascular stent placement.

A fiberoptic angioscope with a balloon tip was used in anesthetized pigs.
The balloon facilitated blood displacement for clear visualization of aortic anatomy.
Stent placement was guided by direct angioscopic visualization below the left renal artery orifice.
