Summary

Nitric oxide (NO) inhalation successfully treated two severe cases of adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), improving oxygenation and reducing lung pressures. This approach offers a potential alternative to extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) for ARDS patients.
