Summary

This case report describes a rare complication in a 37-year-old man who developed an extradural hematoma after a head injury. The patient had an arachnoid cyst in the middle cranial fossa, and the hematoma formed in the space between the dura and skull. While subdural and intracystic hemorrhages are common in such cases, extradural hematomas are extremely rare. The study documents the patient's clinical presentation, diagnosis, and treatment. The authors suggest that this case adds to the limited literature on this unusual association and emphasizes the need for careful evaluation of trauma patients with arachnoid cysts.
