Abstract:
The regulations for the protection of experimental animals which are suggested are based on internationally recognized ethical principles. The research institutions should establish and maintain appropriate policies and procedures to ensure the human care and use of live vertebrate animals. Recent developments in the use of human fetal tissue for therapeutical transplantations represent some serious ethical problems. Proposals for the ethical use of human fetal tissues are suggested.
